Montreal would be a real change. Though there is no beach, there's plenty to do. And within four hours of driving, you feel you're in Europe. The hotels are great, and the food delicious, just about anywhere (hey, it's French). Architecture, shopping, night life, etc...

Forget driving. Take a flight to Myrtle Beach, SC. It has been rated several times by various agencies and companies as one of the top ten beaches in America. There are a lot of things to do there and plenty of sun to enjoy.

If you are thinking of moving away from the hectic city life, I would suggest you come over to South-east asia where there are lot of untouched beaches. Life over at Thailand, Malaysia or Indonesia beaches are slow, and you do not need to spend much having your vacations here.

Seattle Washington must be an mind-blowing vacation, extremely for someone from so cal. that is this sort of alluring city, astonishing surroundings, a lot to be sure and do, and has a colourful nightlife downtown. i ought to surprisingly propose going there.

Go to Niagara Falls, Canada. It's beautiful there and there's so much to do. It should be too far of a drive. The Radison and the Sheraton have the best views.

Why not sit down with a travel agent to brainstorm a few possibilities. They may be able to set you up with a nice beach side bed and breakfast, in an area with plenty of other activities to enjoy.

Might be a tad further than you want to drive, but go to the Great Lakes! Put-in-Bay and Kelley's Island are GREAT & RELAXING spots.
