I have just been told that cancer sufferers should avoid dairy products, such as cream cakes, as it can be harmful to their immune system. Is this true?

Where did you get this information from? In general the answer is no, unless it is liver cancer or if the patient has any liver related problems such as hepatitis.

Dairy products contain fat, which can slow down the liver functions since fat is saturated on the liver more than other organs.

i have some doubts, no one ever told me that, i had cancer 20 yrs ago, and my guy had it last year, however it might affect one of the various medicines you are treated with, so if the doctor tells you dont eat dairy, dont eat it.
