Why is the US military filled with such scum bags as to rape little Iraqi girls and murder their families?

Dont any other fellow americans think this is such a bad image from a military that our children look up to, and shouldnt we demand more from them, its not like any of them were forced to go they all signed up and are getting paid, so shouldnt they have to live by standards. And yes I know there are tons of rapests and murderers that are not military but my son doesnt think the bad guys on americas most wanted are heros.

hey Naples, while your husband is off at war, how does he find time to play with your children, and unfortunatly your kids also think many other people are heros besides GI dad, like maybe Barry Bonds, or maybe the local police man that is your nieghbor, or maybe a crack head thug that looks cool because he smokes, kids pick and choose their heros, or role models I suggest you get your head out of the make believe play forest and do your research. thanks for insulting my parenting skills though

AND TO ALL WHO SAY, its only 10 soilders, its only this its not all of them, try looking at the military records of how many soilders or scum bags are being jailed or court marshalled for conduct that is illigal, and immoral, try 100's of them from cuba to Iraq these soilders are everywhere, and yes their taght to kill, and hurt people but not 9 year old girls, frankly I do not want any military protecting my family, maybe they can rape your alls children

i can answer your question the best way you want it answered. I am the wife (unfortanetly) of one of the soldiers in the rape/ murder case. I got a restraining order on my husband because he cheated on me and beat my ***. I went all the way up the chain of command all the way to the post command sargeant major of fort campbell about his abuse and violation of the restraining order. The army tries to protect their own. If you ask for MP records of anything you file with them against a soldier you will get it backed blacked out. They lie for their soldiers. Its not just the iraqi families they are ruining. your right i dont know how you can explain to your child about his chosen heroes. I dont even know how to tell my own sons that their father is a rapist and murder. I do have a brother however who is also in the army and he is a hero. thats the only thing i can think of. is that not all of them are bad. just some of them. and at least you only have to say that to your son. I have to tell my son that about not only his hero but his heart and soul- his father. plain and simple the soldier shouldve been kicked out a long time ago. the army knew about him. they did nothing. not all the soldiers are horrible but the system is.

My husband is in the Military, and our kids think he's a hero, but not so much because he serves our nation, more because he plays with them, reads to them and makes his family his number one priority. Maybe if you did the same for your son, he wouldn't have to look for a hero elsewhere.
No, none of our Service Members are forced to join, and people like you should Thank God that those in the Military that do sign up and volunteer to go and fight so you're not drafted and forced to go in when you don't want to.
A recruiter can't tell if every person that enlist in the
Armed Forces is going to be a rapist or murderer, or cause any other kind of problem. When it's clear these people have no criminal background, they have no reason not to allow them into the Military.
The men and women that serve our country live by standards that you can't even imagine. Because a handful of them are asses, doesn't make all of them fall into that category. You should be glad that the ones that committed this crime were in the Military, because it seems to me they were caught and arrested for this a hell of a lot sooner then civilians that do this kind of thing! They are sitting in jail and they aren't going anywhere until there trial is over, and I have a feeling the only place they'll be going after trial is prison!
If you think we have so many scumbags serving in the Military, why don't you enlighten us all and go and join and show how much better you are then the rest of our service members.

Mister this is not about images, and ideas about the military, this problem is about real facts, things that happen. This happens because the army lets any depraved idiot, and perv to join, gives them a decent salary, a salary that they could never get as trash-men, and they also give them the wright to play God. The Islamists are entitled to kill Americans on their land, in their homes, in which the US Army rapes, children, women, kill them after-wards. These son's of a bitc_h must die, not be court marshaled. If they send them to Martial court, they'll get free. Give every Iraqi man, woman, and child a weapon, and let the hunting season begin. this is why the most majority of Americans don't understand the Jihad, and why the Muslims are fighting back. Think about your daughter being raped. What would you do? Think about your dead son, and his brains scattered all over the walls! What would you do. There is a large number of kids sent to war, so that their congressman daddy's can stay at ease cause their son's won't die in a foreign country. These kids, they don't have to be there. The U.S. military is not filled with scumbags. Do you think you have the market cornered on "disgust and outrage"? How do you suppose the many thousands of troops who are serving honorably feel? Listen, I can guarantee you that you wont find people more bothered by this than the ones serving who are putting there asses on the line every day. There are vicious people all over the world that have no conscience...no soul, and yes some live in the U.S. and yes some wind up in the military. Are you going to start putting labels on people of every profession when one of their number commits a heinous act? How about doctors, policemen, and plumbers. I'm sorry we live in the world that we do, and I'm sorry that unfortunately you are going to have to somehow explain to your son that there ARE bad people in it. We can honor those who serve honorably without condoning those of their profession that don't. Hero worship is overrated. Kids will make a sports figure a hero without knowing what kind of character he has. You have to teach your son that no matter what uniform someone wears, it's their character that matters. That's just one of those not so easy things that a parent has to teach their child. Don't blame the military.

The US military cannot really prevent scumbags from entering...most of these idiots may have not had any criminal tendency when they first entered (seriously no rational military will allow confirmed criminals to enter its ranks). While I seriously hope that those idiots who did rape and murder innocents are charged and given their just due (whether its USA law or Iraqi law is irrelevant though the latter would be more acceptable to Iraqis), I truly hope that no one starts saying ALL USA soldiers are murderers and rapists (shining examples of Yank soldiers can be found in humanitarian missions like during the 2004 east-Asia Tsunami). That would be as irresponsible and stupid as saying we should kill all Muslims because all of 'em are terrorists (there are some shining examples of respectable Muslims, though these are usually found in peaceful and/or moderate Muslim countries).

Maybe you should also explain war to your kid..if you have the experience to..When a group of soldiers go ballistic should we blame all of the military?I think not...Who knows what possessed those men to do what they did,maybe all the killing and blood finally got to them,but I dont hold the USA responsible for their actions nor the entire military..They will answer to their crimes..unlike Iraqies who do the morbid things to our people..Remember they are there for you and your family as well as all of us in the USA..

Actually we have a lower percentage of SCUMBAGS then in the general population. If you check your state's Megan law list of child molesters, most are living next door to you. Not at Ft. Dix. And for those occasions folks do go bad, we have the UCMJ and Ft Leavenworth prision.
