It depends on what kind of person you are! If you are a family person who is home a lot and wants someone to always be around, then you want a dog! If you are not home a lot or go on vacations or away often or you don't want an animal constantly around you, then you want a cat. I have both and I like the dog better because she is always around! Cats just do their own thing and are happy if they have food/water/litterbox! dogs need attention.

i prefer neither. cats are cute and cuddly and u can play with them as little kids. dogs are always loyal to humans no matter how bad u treat them. they'll always come back to u. but the thing is cats are more in the feminine side and dogs are more in the male side

Depends on where you live and your life style. Cats need to be outside, unless you get a persian one. Dogs are more obedient and follow you everywhere. You need to walk him twice a day. Cats are independant and take their own walks!

A personal preference I got over by getting both. Dogs are more devoted they love us. Cats you basically kiss up to them,but they like us. Depends if you prefer LOVE to LIKE I guess.

both are great.. i have three dogs and a cat. dogs are happier in a group, and cats love to be independent..
