To be more verbose.. If you had/have a disease and there was a cure, but that cure was the direct result of stem-cell research, would you turn down the cure?

I have a bit of a problem with embryonic stem cell research, but unjlike you may hear embryonic stem cell research is not the only stem cells they are using, they also take adult stem cells, but these are less adaptive. The reason most Christians have a problem with it is generally the sources: either aborted fetuses or fertized eggs that could have become a baby, but were killed for the reasearch.

Would I turn down a treatment based on stem cells.... It is a hard question to answer, not being in that situation. I would have to say, I am just not sure. Besides, you probably wouldn't know anyway, because the doctor would hardly tell you where the cure came from. He would just tell you it was necessary.

No, I wouldn't turn it down. The thing about stem cell research is that they can use cells from the placenta as well...not directly from an unborn fetus. But you never hear polititians or picketers mentioning that.

No. I am a Christian and I support more stem cell research. I even support cloning only to the extent that we only produce organs for transplant and not whole individuals.

Yes. I know that God is the cure to everything. I suffered from a sore throat for months and one day I prayed for the pain to go away, now if I get the cold systems, my throat don't hurt. The throat spray was always temp. What man does isn't 100% perfect, but what my Lord does is.

No, I would not turn it down.

Stem cell research is much maligned and very poorly understood by most people.
