I ALWAYS LIKE CHECKING UP ON YOU...THIS IS A NICE QUESTION COMING FROM YOU...WHATEVER YOU DO, SHOWING IS BETTER THAN JUST USING WORDS...ALSO, DOING A NICE THING WILL MEAN THE WORLD TO HER IF YOU MAKE IT INTO A PATTERN....DON'T GO BACK TO THE HURTFUL WAYS AS YOU SAY YOU DID IN THE PAST...IF YOU DO, WHATEVER YOU DID THAT WAS NICE WILL BE LIKE YOU NEVER EVEN DID IT.
BEGIN WITH LISTENING AND KINDNESS AND MAYBE JUST A SMALL GIFT LIKE FLOWERS.
AND MAKE THIS A PATTERN...THAT'S YOUR KEY WORD. PATTERN.
MY MOTHER TOLD ME THAT NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU HATE YOUR PARENTS OR WHAT KIND OF RELATIONSHIP YOU HAD WITH THEM, YOU WILL MISS THEM WHEN THEY ARE GONE. GOOD LUCK :)
TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF.

P.S. REMEMBER JUST AS YOU HAVE ANGER SHE MAY HAVE DEVELOPED A LOT OF ANGER AND HURT AS WELL. ESPECIALLY IF SHE IS NOT ONE TO ALWAYS SHOW IT.
BE READY FOR HER TO LET OUT SOME FIRE AND IF SHE DOES, JUST LET IT BURN AND LET HER VENT.
SOMETIMES THAT IS THE BEST THING YOU CAN DO...LET SOMEONE VENT WITHOUT INTERRUPTION OR GIVING THEM ADVICE...I KNOW SHE LOVES YOU.

Show her that you care and that you love her. When was the last time you gave her a hug? You don't need money to be a good son. Spend more time with her. When was the last time you took her out for lunch or dinner. When she speaks listen to her and show her that you have her full attention. Moms will not always be around, I lost my mom and now it is too late to have done somethings I wished I had done. Call her often from work and check on her, ask her if she is OK or if she needs anything. When you eat foods she had prepared tell her they are delicious.Your actions and behavior that express care and love are all you need. Remember her birthday and get her something, even a flower will do, no need for expensive gifts, it is the thought that matters. On mother's day do the same. Love your mother, and remember no one can love you like your mother can.

If you still go to school then of course get good grades. take her on a day off one day and give her a present. not an expensive one you buy but somethin u make urself. paint a picture or write a poem. when i was a toddler, i gave my mom a cup holder made of clay sculpted by me. she kept it for a few years and i dun no if she still has it. in fifth grade, i painted her a paintin the she adored. think of the small things you can do such as learn how to wash the dishes for her or cook food once in a while.

First, you may want to write her a letter. Stating how sorry you are for doing the things you did. You don't have to have a lot of money. You may want to help her out with some chores, buy her flowers or make her a glass of milk before bedtime and then there, you can start to talk to her. You may want to start off by saying, I'm sorry.

Flowers would be lovely and a little note saying you know you've given her a bad time the last few years but are going to change. The most important part is making sure you do change and don't go back to the way you were.

I think doing things for her like mowing her lawn or wash her car. Ask her what she needs done around the house, you know a little handy man work. Cook her a meal if you can cook. If you can't just spending time with her over a cup of coffee/tea or beer depending on what type of drink she prefers.

How about telling her that you are very sorry. Spend more time with her and if she says anything harsh to hurt you, don't take it too personal but try to use understanding and patience to control yourself.....remember it took you 5 years to realize things, so do give her time to heal......It's not always abt money.....for a mother, the only happiness is spending quality time with her children.....not how much money u could give her. Just enjoy yourself with her...SHE IS MOTHER AND YOU ARE HER JOY.

Listen to her everytime she feels like talking.. make time for her.. help her with her chores.. Share in your thoughts and feelings with her.. Discuss things that are happening in your life with her as you would with your best friend.

Try sharing interests.. going out shopping together.. or for a movie.. depending on the kind of person she is.

Just be with her one or two days and totally spent your time with her. You donot have to buy her a gift or anything. Moms do forgive, it is in their nature

If she likes a certain band, look for a tour concert and take her to the nearest one. She'll love you for it.
