obvioulsy the person feels comfortable enough with you do take your bread. Where I come from they put bread baskets on the table and refill them when empty. You could politely say excuss me I was not done with that. Or maybe he did not realize he took yours. Maybe he thought it was his. Tables can get crowded with all the plates, bowels, salads and so on. Or politely ask the waiter there was a mix up with the bread and you would like another plate. Now if it was your husband of you were with your family then it would be alright to say hey hand off my bread. There is never a shortage of bread and I do not think asking for more would be a problem. and if the resteraunt tells you no, then they are no classy and do not leave them a tip. Or you could just drop the whole thing and think thank god my meal will be here soon. Later on in private you cuold tell that person it was very rude of them to take your bread without asking. And next time grab your bread right away and eat before any one can get a hold of it. I know I would be upset because fancy resteraunts have such nice soft fresh bread. Or you could look at this person and quietly say is there something wrong with your bread since you took mine. Also if ever dining with these people again do not sit next to this person. Or you could make suttle hints on how that bread smells so good and must taste good. Then this will bring attention to the rude person who took your bread.

I would just ask the waiter for another one. It's not worth getting into an argument over a plate of bread. Only if the waiter asked what happened to my bread plate would I tell them.

Ask the waiter for a new one and leave it at that. If the waiter asks what happened to the previous one, it's not a classy restaurant.

Ask the waiter for another bread plate. If the people want my bread let them have it...lol.

ask the waiter to continue to overload them with bread so that they will stop blatantly taking yours, get the manager involved, get a free meal at a swanky restaurant for the inconvenience

Use the other one and smile at them. It is better that all of you realize that you are using the wrong plates than to embarrass the one that made the first mistake.

Are you talking about at the same table as you, or at the table next to you? If they are at the same table as you, I would assume that they are someone you know... just ask them for theirs. If you mean the people at the next table, just ask the waiter for a new one.

Ignore it. We don't get to the top of the world by getting upset over bread.
