why are ppl so racist?

ok, ppl. we all understand you do not like illegals. but it really pisses me off when i read about ppl hatin' on all mexicans in general.

not all mexicans are illegal and mexicans aren't the only illegals.

mexicans are good ppl just like any other race. a lot of us work hard and most of us in america are legal

and mexico is NOT a place of poverty. that area of mexico is located in the northern region which is all we americans seem to know. they judge us by that section of mexico.

all the south and east coast is a lot better off, you know. plus, mexico doesn't have a bad economy because of a bunch of poor ppl, but because there is a huge gap between the rich and the poor.

so listen to a fellow mexican here when i say, stop all the hatin'!

I agree with you.I know that not EVERYONE on here is a racist.But,man,alot of them are.And don't let them fool you.They say"I'm not racist,I just think every mexican should go back to mexico".The difference?I see none.Whats this world coming to?Everyone seems so worried about illegal immigration that they fail to realize that many "mexicans"here are already legal or in the process of becoming legal.They just hate on a race solely because of the percent of illegal people here.It's not like they can tell the difference between the two,so they generalize everyone.That sucks.And whoever says they take the time to ask every hispanic they talk to if they are legal is lying.NO one would do that.

Every mexican I know is a good person.They aren't in gangs or do drugs.They don't steal and aren't in welfare lines.AND,they pay taxes like most americans here.Alot of ppl can't get that through their heads.These people work,and work hard,for their money.And if they want to send it all to mexico,who cares?It's THEIR money.But,one question,if they sent it all back,then how do they have homes and cars?How do they eat?Duh,people.

Does it matter if their country is poor?Think of all the other countries that are worse off and those ppl come here too.They may come on a visa,but alot stay after the visa expires.Why not talk about them?Because they look like americans.You judge hispanic ppl because of what they look like.I wonder how many other nationalities are here illegal and nobody questions them.Why?Because their skin is the right color to pass as americans.But just cause a person is latino,they are automatically assumed to be mexican illegals.

And whats so bad about mexicans anyways?They happen to be great people.Fifty years ago,our country was in a black/white race war.Discrimination was high.Hell,kids couldn't even go to school together.Why put our country through this?Did we not learn anything ?And,sad to say,it's mostly my race--white americans who feel this way.

Racism comes from any angle whether you're African, chinese,and evertything else. Please educate your self before you call anyone a "latino Hispanic and such. Mexicans such as my self derive from the native Mexican indian tribes, Latinos are from latin America and Hispanics are spanish speaking people(castellano) from Europe. Yes actually spanish like the language. So in that matter you assumption of what language is spoken in the U.S. is completely wrong. Mexicans were here along with native Americans before any pilgrims arrived and long before African were shipped here. You can't label all Mexicans because of what some ignorant people shouted at a "Game". But if you choose to then you your self as an African America are a racist. I am Mexican Indian and a U.S. citizen and have done much more for this country than anyone blonde hair blue eyed with a degree has. what ? well fought wars 5 different times, been shot twice by insurgents and guess what? i will do it all over again. Immigrants are the foundation required for any countrie's stability. If you're not willing to wash dishes for 5 dollars and hour who do you think is going to do so? Exactly, Asian, Mexican, south Americans, and Latin Americans. I know there's alot more immirgrants residing in the U.S. but those are the ones mailnly overshadowed with racist remarks. Mexico is great and a wealthy country but Government corruption holds it down from expanding and becoming what it should be. Don't think so? well long before the Europeans were talking about dragons and fantasazing about vampires the Aztec civilization had developed a calendar that is still only seconds off from what technology has now perfected. Face it , if you came on this page to bash and obstruct creative critisism regarding Mexican stereotypes, you in Fact are a racist because you took time from your daily life to express your ignorance by attemting to belittle any immigrant. Oh by the way if we're so educated then who ever wrote that ridiculous sentence about older Mexicans not being able to speak spanish should know that a 7 year old mind capacity is well more adapted and prone to enhancing it's mental capability.. yes duh it means little kids learn faster than adults. As for the language spoken in the U.S. we should all learn spanish and all forms of Native American dialects since "we" we here first.. "not English"

I agree that there is alot of ignorant people hear in the immigration page, and lots of other places on Yahoo answers. I like Mexico alot. I have fun down south in the less Americanized cities and it's a fun place to vacation. I appreciate that you don't see that everyone is racist who thinks that America should have a secure border. I think that the solution to illegal immigration in the US should start in Mexico. There is a huge gap between the rich and the poor and that is mainly cause the people in government are corrupt. America can't be responsible for the Mexican governments corruption. And don't act like they are not corrupt, and racist themselves towards whites. I've had to bribe a few cops down there in order to get out of them arresting me for Jay-walking. Plus what about Mexico's double standard that America should be tolerant to illegal immigrants when they strictly enforce their southern border by all means necessary, including violence.

Racism is a form of human insecurity.
Humans have a very competitive nature. Racism is a way found to justify superiority where are equality when there isn't no fact to prove the superiority between two people. Racism became to be an answer for it, like any other form of discrimination.
American people are one of the most competitive people therefore one of the most insecurity too, that's why there are so much racism, discrimination and hates crime here, their culture require too much of them and most have no idea how to answer it, finding discrimination an answer.
American are good people when they face the truth. They have a very high sense of justice but they have been driven wrong and those whom most have paid for it are the young and poor.
I haven't seem an old and rich men here giving his life away "in name of their country". The poor and young (less protect one with lack of knowledge) have done a work only just the rich ones will be able to collect its advantage but they can't see the real propose they have been used for.

That's a rather gross over-generalisation, and I'm not even American!

I'm guessing "ppl" dislike illegals because if they were meant to be there, they wouldn't be illegal. I'm also guessing not all people hate all illegals, or all Mexicans, so why don't you go grow a brain.

I also meant to add, as someone above me has said, there ARE legal ways of going into the US, if things are so bad for the Mexicans, surely they will be given legal entry!

Well, I can tell you that my parents are racist sometimes, or most of the times, and i get really annoyed. I have friends of all ethnicities so i wouldn't say i'm racist. People who are different make others think they can serve as a potencial threat. My parents don't want me to get influenced but they are going it out the wrong way. Also, the media is the once influencing us. You see illegal immigrants on TV all the time and people just assume.

There are some things you left out.

1st - Mexico is using race as a weapon to make American's feel guilty and defensive to get them what they want.

2nd - The Immigration issue has nothing to do with race. It has to do with keeping the Mexican border where it is.

3rd - Please remind me how Americans are supposed to react under these conditions when they don't know any better. When a government oppresses it's people by not protecting them or enforceing the law, how do you expect people to react? This is not our fight, it's our governments fight, that's what they are elected for - but will not do their jobs so citizens have to fend for themselves for protection!!!

I for one never voted for any politician to represent a foreign country over our own.

ALL people don't hate Mexicans. I'm half Mexican, and I don't have a problem with them. My family came to the US legally, so should everyone else.

Because WILLFULLY IGNORANT people don't like things that are different. They FEAR change or even being challenged.

The only NATURAL citizens in the U.S. are the Native Americans (a.k.a. Indians). Everyone else are just people who pushed to be here.

As for Mexican "haters", there will always be STUPID people talking cr@p about stuff they know little about. Just remember the saying: "Beware of Stupid People In Large Groups".
