it's because of hedonism..... well I'm a Filipino and in our culture we are taught to respect the one you will marry someday by giving him the purity you got..... well that is our belief... but i have respect to those who had done "that" because they know what they want.... and how to fill those needs... and aside from that they are not afraid.... but still i will not do "that" thing until I'm ready and married

I believe that the urge to have sex is more a case of the genetic code of humans telling us that you are of breeding age so do what comes naturally. Besides marriage really in the 21st century is just a piece of paper, unless you are religious but that is up to the individuals. Personally i don't think religion should worry about trivial things like sex before marriage. there are far more important things happening in the world today than that.

I loved my boyfriend on a Friday. Saturday we got married. And on Sunday I loved him just as much as Friday before we were married.
Marriage is really just a legal thing now. Although I wouldn't agree with a guy having sex with tons of girls and not supporting the kids he procreates, sex before marriage shouldn't matter. Who cares, really? If you know you've met "The One" then get busy!

Sex and marriage are different.Marriage was an institution invented to protect women from unwanted pregnancy and to fix responsibility for growing up of children. In ancient times and also according to all religions, sex is only for procreation. It changed over years and concept of sex for pleasure/enjoyment has become the motto.Man has no mating season.Since pregnancy can be prevented ,responsiblities avoided sex is for pleasure only.Marriage for sex has become out of fashion.Sexual orientation has resulted in reckless sex,AIDs,collapse of family system, increase in divorces, children becoming suffering from lack emotional support and love and becoming drug addicts. If cattle and birds donot marry for sex and can put their dicks in to so many why can't man do it?

i would have had no serious difficulty 'foregoing' sex before i married: but i think postponing sex until marriage is a dubious and possibly wicked perversion.
i waited to have sex until i met a woman with whom i was ready to spend my life. she was similarly willing to spend her life with me.
since she was the woman i wanted to be my wife, and since i was the man she wanted to be her husband, and since we were both adults, the decision about when and under what circumstances to have sex was ours and ours alone.
many people seem to think that you should not decide for yourself when first to have sex, but that you should wait for your parents to decide this, or for your local pastor to decide this, or for some insincere caravanserai called a 'wedding' to have happened.
if you can't make up your own mind when to have sex, if you have to dress up in silly clothes and eat and drink yourself silly before you think that making love is a proper activity, i'm afraid you are just not ready to take such a big decision yet.
true lovers are everything to each other; any lover who needs a permission from outside to do his lover's will is just not sufficiently in love yet.
true love does not wait, true love knows when the time is right.

Some might say they don't buy a car without testing it first. The car is test driven once, but most men get to "test" drive the woman many times.....not once. Is there a need to test so many times........until the car multiplies itself? Then he might not even want to buy the car/girl. Most car dealers will allow testing only once.

I don't think one can know if they want to be with somebody for the rest of their lives without being intimate with them first. I also don't really believe that human beings were meant to mate for life.
