Ok im 16 and preaching my sermon well co-preaching with a friend. and Its based upon Micah 6:3-8 where God is asking why people have turned their back when he has done so much for them and they try and buy their way to God. Then God says what he wants from his people and im preaching to my youth group on how God has done so much for us like sending his son to die, blessing us, our needs, being there etc. and how in return we use our mouths for cursing instead of praising, have sex outside of marriage, doing drugs and getting drunk, denying that we are christians with our actions and our words, and being fake at church. Then we are ending it with What God wants which is us to help out where we can, to show his love and to tell of his love, and to have a relationship with him, and the hows to those things. our main point is God has done so much for us why cant we do something for Him? and before all this we are talking about what Israel did like i said above. Please help!!!!

It also has to do with how we do things for God. A lot of christians are pushy and try to get others to believe their way. The key word is pushy. This does exactly what is says. Pushes people away.

hi. Is thier anything God requires from Us? Is thier ever anything God Needs from Us? Only when we understand the image that we are created in can we appreciate God. Our response to Him will then be Something that comes from Understanding and relationship rather than obligation. James says "can a man look into a mirror and forget what he looks like?" When we understand God's goodness then only can we truly reciprocate His Love and Mercy towards us by Doing the same to those around us and more so to HIm. You have a good start but i feel you should get the youth to look inside and then express it outwardly. wwjd.

Sounds like you have plenty of material. All you need is scripture reference to back it up and offer solutions. Another good phrase you could use is one I have heard quite a bit "The devil's biggest accomplishment is convincing the world he doesn't exist."
