First: don't believe that something would last FOREVER..there's no such thing...it only happens in the fairy tale books that we read during our preschool days. Because if your believe that it could stay forever, there could be days that you would take something for granted presently, and decide to settle the next day. Live each day of the relationship as if it your partner would be leaving the next day, going somewhere far and you won't see each other for YEARS! Give each other their own time with their friends, family and onself, this would help you both not to suffocate each other by making the relationship the center of your own little worlds. COMMUNICATE..talk about almost everything under the dun..make your partner your best friend, confidant, lover, older sibling..everything...hope this helps...

the best way to keep a relationship alive is to show the person whom u r with u truly care. talk to her and LISTEN. women need more than a boyfriend. show ur feelings and communicate if anything bothers u. do not be such a jealous guy and respect in every possible way. don't lie, cheat, do drugs, or drink. but the main one is NO SECRETS. this are the things i can tell u to keep a relationship alive.

This is a good question because I really don't believe any one will ever be able to tell you the right answer. I'll tell you this though, love only lasts for about the first 18 months of any relationship and then after that you are pretty much on your own. You have to work on it.

Variety is the key.Once in a relationship a person already knows there is trust,respect etc.keeping it alive requires imagination.lots of love.telling that person every day that you love them.

You must be young and in love. Or at least looking. I would say don't lie, cheat,steal, or nag. Be helpful, kind, caring, considerate, Try and think before talking. Ask pertinent questions not invasive one. Listen to what is said. Hold your comments until all is told.
