When I was a little girl (this was late 80's/early 90's) there was a bagged corn snack I really liked called Hooplas, they tasted sort of like Bugles but they were ring-shaped. Does this ring a bell to anyone?

Hula hoops? Interesting, I wonder if that's just the same product with a different name. Bugles are cone-shaped corn snacks-they're hollow so you can put them on your finger:-) I guess we only get them here in the States. You can see them here:

Yes...I remember them! I can remember going to the convenience store and getting them for like 50 cents in those little baggies...

Hooplas --
They were small rings flavored with nacho cheese or plain corn chips. I don't remember who they were made by, but I will keep looking. If I find anything, I'll post it here!

UPDATE

What I did find on the internet after a WAY advanced search is that Hooplas were made by Keebler, and they were recalled in April of 1998 due to a problem with the corn that made the chips. The corn was grown in South Carolina and people got sick from it so they were recalled. I guess they took it off the market because it left a "bad taste" in their mouths!

Remember Pizzarias? Now they were the BOMB! Have a great day!

YES! I loved those too! I haven't seen them in years - they came in different flavors, right? My mom used to bring those to us after school once in awhile. They did taste like bugles - thanks for the trip down memory lane! :)
