For one dont listen to anyone that is going to put you down for wanting to find out about wicca. Especially those that are going to tell you that you are going to hell or anger god or gods know what ever else. Some people are ignorant and cant see past their own noses.
Now for sources: Try witchvox. It will help with finding other people like you in your are.
Anything by Scott Cunningham. If you are short on the moola most libraries carry his books.
Dont even pick up Silver RavenWolfs books. They will rot your brain with a bunch of nonsense and fairy tales that are completely not true.
Llewellyns Almanacs: it is a well spring of great authors and helpful tidbits for all year long. I recommend highly for someone just starting out. It also gives you a neat little calendar in the center of it telling you when the moon phases are and the Holidays and what not(helped me when I started, everything already laid out for me all I had to do was look up the day and there was all the info I needed).
And the best thing is: if at all possible ask questions like this when you are unsure! The best source for info is other people. And you are going to come acrossed some that will try to lead you down the wrong path, just be mindful its gonna happen and keep your wits about you! Happy Learning and Blessed Be!

I'm not a Wiccan, but I have a lot of Wiccan friends and at one point in time I was into it. Though I no longer practice it, I do feel I developed a deep spirituality threw it and I learned a lot about this world and the many different facets it can have.
Seriously, just go to your library or book store and read, read, read. There is a tremendous wealth of knowledge out there that lies in a bounded form.
You can learn about the different forms of Wicca - ethnic categories, new wave, etc -, different ways to practice Wicca, etc.
You will only get a general handle on what it’s all about after you read a couple of books that have different perspectives. No one can really explain it all to you alone.
You can collect what you've discovered and learned and any little notes in book of shadows:
----------------------------------------------------
A book of Shadows is a place to record and remember to mark down rituals and thoughts. It is more than a diary and orthogonal to a Bible.
It is a collection of personal thoughts and meaningful statements, an expression of a state of being. Where a Bible states the path to follow, the Book of Shadows shows the road as it has been.
I must say I believe this way holds more of truth; I will never know where I am going, but I do know where my wanderings have gone.

------------------------------------------------------------
This will help to guide you and remind you of what you have learned. Keep it sacred. You can make one online or be traditional and have it in a tangible book form. If you are surrounded by any mean spirited people, especially family members, I suggest you keep your practices on the down low for now. My friends and I have had bad experiences with people coming into rooms, doing random searches, and burning important stuff - the biggest loss being a shadow book that was years in the making. That's why having an electronic copy can be so handy. You can store it in more than one location so that if you ever lose your main source you have several back ups.
Good luck on your journey and practice safely. But be prepared to learn some freaky things about this world. Doing Wicca makes you more open to things that the body has learned to ignore over time.

You're not stupid for seeking knowledge, my dear.
If you wish to know about Wicca, I suggest you first pick up a copy of "The Truth About Witchcraft Today" by Scott Cunningham. After you read that and gain some knowledge, do some exploring of your own. The path will find you.
If you need any other additional information, please feel free to contact me. Good luck!
P.S. The user wytchgypsy is right! Take Silver RavenWolf with a grain of salt. If you wish to read her books, that's fine but don't believe what she writes. Also, being your own teacher at first is the best way to go. Blessed be!

Get the book "Wicca: A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner" by Scott Cunningham. Most of Cunningham's books are designed for the beginner.
Whatever you do, PLEASE DO NOT read anything by Silver RavenWolf. She has done more to corrupt the Craft than Hollywood. Her information is inaccurate as well.
I also advise you to be your own teacher and learn at your own pace and take your time with it before finding a coven. While I'm not against covens (I have one myself), I think one should learn a bit on their own and decide what is good for them before committing to a group.
Good luck on your journey, and may the Goddess be with you. Blessed be.

why are you intersted in this if you dont know anything about it.
but anyway here's what you really need to know:
this is the sort of thing that is 100% gauranteed to anger GOD.
the godess does not exist
wiccans dont possess any special powers like they claim, and they couldnt care less about whats right like they say.
please consider what you are doing before you give your soul to hell for a life of eternal torment.
it doesnt matter if anyone believes in the devil or not, hell is real and if you worship false idols you go there.
