Long term, neither. For a year, it is a of what area you would live in, and what activities you would do.

If you work in an international environment, go for Germany: it is easier to get in touch with locals on a daily basis there, while in Paris you get simply snobbed out up to when you make it as a local (takes years).

If you will work in touch with local people, then in my opinion France is a LOT more fun, there is more sharing, more open people (especially out of Paris)...

How do I know? I lived in both... :) I had a blast in both, but I have fondest memories of French times (even if I keep longer term friends from Germany...)

It is a tough decision to make. I think Germany after the great hospitality shown throughout world cup. The people are not as volatile as the french. what do you wish to have a brilliant past or a bright today. If past it is France if today then it is Germany

I would choose to live in France since I can speak the language fluently :) bilingual Canadian here, speak English & French... in all honesty, i would take one year of France, then one year of Germany..... since i've never been to both, would like to live in both cultures, but France first, since i speak the language and can learn a few things about Europe before moving to other countries.

It is definitely Germany. I've been wanting to live in Germany for years. Great education, great culture. Plus, I think the guys are more handsome there than in France.

I'm black and this is so true when I use to work NYC store there will be alot of white European men at the store. There were soooooooo nice to me unlike white American men. I never quite understood it but now it makes sense. Although as an African I do remember white men from Europe like black African women alot.
