As an adperson, and female, myself, I'd say that will depend only on the shape of the women's legs !
If they are slim and svelte, the lady is exhibiting her precious assets - and this cannot ever be rated as being 'impolite' !
But, if the legs resemble fatty slabs of beef, then the woman is wantonly insulting the viewers' senses and sensibilities - and is most certainly being 'impolite' !

I've been told that it's always impolite for a woman to cross her legs that way, we are always supposed to do it at the ankles. However, I alway cross my legs one over the other, so I guess I am rude.

I like when women sit with thier legs open while wearing a short skirt. So I guess it is impolite.

would you rather that said woman should sit with legs wide apart? Legs crossed is so much better so go with the flow

I don't think that it is impolite, however, etiquette would say that you should cross your ankles and not your legs.

Don't go with the flow, cross the ankles! Crossing the ankles is much more ladylike.

It is not about being impolite.. it is about self-respect. If she wants to show her Cee U Next Tuesday then that's her problem, not yours.

ive never really understood why its like that because when a woman sits with her legs squished together instead, she always accidentally shows her stuff sooner or later.
i try to avoid looking but sometimes it just happens.
