My opinion is are two possibility
1. He know, how much you love him because - He feel to get a special attention out of you, You have seen felling love to him. And way of any kind of so that he know if you very loving him
2. He don't know because You have never showed feeling your love him because you shame and have never said you love him.

the best way to let him know is just tell him how you feel. If he cares about you then he would be really happy to know. If telling him scares him away then he doesent care about you anyhow.
