I take Effexor, i have a friend taking Lithium and Xanax.
I think if they make your life better or keep your depression under control, that is a good thing.
No offense intended, but who is telling you they are bad/
does this person know anything about depression, or medicine, or psychiatry? Or do they just think medicines are bad?
to actually find out about this combination of drugs, check with a pharmacist. you can probably learn what you want to know just from a phone call.

first of all, all those meds are pretty dangerous drugs. I'm abilify, wellbutrin, ativan and adderol. This is after being on effexor, depracote, celexa, and lithium. Ihave been diagnosed as a borderline personality disorder (BPD) or dissociative identity disorder (DID) with schizoid tendencies. So I'm all messed up. But you really should talk to you doctor. get off the zanax and litium, they **** up your body. Try deprecoat (however its spelled) instead of the lilthium and anything instead of zanax.
I hope everything works out alright. Good luck! =)

Never mind what other people are telling you, the question is - Do you feel that these drugs are helping you? If the answer is yes then do not worry about it just keep taking them. If the drugs are not helping you then go back to your doctor and tell him.
You can even ask for a referral to see a psyciatrist. A psyciatrist specialises in the use of drugs for controling mental conditions and once your medication is established by the psyc then the regular doctor can take over in monitoring your need.

I have bipolar and anxiety with a few other things mixed in.... I have a med cocktail my self... effexor, serequel, topamax, lamictal, abilify and trazadone(to knock me out to sleep)
try this link and check out the interactions with other drugs to see if they are a bad combination, it has a PDR..sometimes word of mouth is not enough... good luck

A doctor diagnosed you and put you on those medications. What are you stupid? Why would you come on this site to ask unqualified people to second guess your doctor and give a dumbass opinion ?
