What will it take to get an honest government?

Question

with corruption rampant and indictments against men who have broken the law few and far between...is there any hope to ever have a govt of by and for people...
Why is there so little action to stop the blatant abuses of power and moneys? are we not the govt?
should Bush be impeached or at least censured?
is it all posturing?
can anything be done... It a movement to protect whistle blowers was started and they were rewarded in stead of punished would you join the whistleblowers or are you corrupt and part of the problem?

It sometimes seems hopeless doesn’t it? As you think this you turn on the news to find out another person in the white house was just indicted!

It will be a long process to take back our government from the corrupt people who run it now. We are not the first to deal with such chaos, remember the Great Depression, all the anti-war protests for Vietnam, the struggle for civil rights in the 1960’s (and ongoing)? So, if they made changes to make the world a better place, we can to!

The first thing we need to do is get as many people educated about the issues as possible. You need to get your friends and coworkers to vote and kick these religious right and corporate hors out of congress. We will still have to choose the lesser of two evils, but it’s a step in the right direction. The next big thing that is needed is finance reform; it all comes down to the Benjamin’s, as they say! Right now, the only way to get high up in public office is to make compromises along the way because it is so expensive to run. We need to revise these laws and limit campaign contributions so that we can get some fresh levelheaded thinkers in our government.

We all have a responsibility try and correct injustice when it occurs. Complacency is not an option.

Educate people on the issues and get PEOPLE TO VOTE!

a belief in the possibility that one can be created. When we sit around and do nothing but complain about what's going on don't you have no one but yourself to blame? When asking if we can have or do have an honest government, you cannot analyze the parts of the whole- you must look at the whole, what in law is referred to as a "totality of the circumstances." Just like you can't hate a whole race b/c one of their kind robs you, you cannot blame the whole of government for the faults of a few. Remember the wise words of Joe Dirt, "can't never could do nothing."

Fall on our knees, pray for wisdom and forgiveness and vote everyone holding office today OUT!, then elect new ones that will listen to us.
After that make THE LAW God gave us plus, love our neighbors as ourselves what we really believe and practice into The Law of the land.

First it would take normal citizens to run for office, then citizens would have to vote. and make sure they are no career politicians.

On what grounds would you Impeach the president?????
as far as I know he has not committed any crimes while in office, though some here might believe otherwise. if he had committed a crime the Dem's would damn sure be doing there damn best to impeach him. and that is not happening.

Whatever it is it wont happen....I think we all would like to know that answer.......USA should bring in compulsorary then you just might have a chance
