There are lots of artists lining the streets doing little oil paintings of street scenes. I bought one for $14 and then had it framed nicely in the US. Once somebody came into my home and offered me $100 on the spot. The whole piece (framed) is no bigger than 11 x 14. I didn't sell the piece.

There is a unique wooden craft peculiar to that place. It is wooden boxes made from a peculiar tree root, so you see whorly designs on them. They are usually black and lacquered. Very unique and rare. Such boxes are not cheap.
