I'm asking because I'm a healthcare worker, on my feet all day... and couldn't tell you how many steps I take!

I don't know how many steps your average human walks, but your average American walks about 10.

That mathematical equation would be different for everybody, and it would take days to figure out, for each individual.
Mine would be complicated, because sometimes I get drunk and do the "two step" or the "backward step".
So would I add an extra step for the 2 step, and subtract one for every back step.
You did not think about that, did you.
Just kidding, I drink sitting down.

With a job where you do alot of walking, I don't of any number that goes high enough. LOL
Also, it depends on whether the person is healthy, or in a wheelchair.....or a couch potato....or.......
