No, there is not a 'simple and easy' way to do this. Anyone who tells you that is lying, and getting ready to pick your pockets. The so-called 'homeopathic' remedies are about as worthless as a sugar pill. Don't fall for that. It's a great way to lighten your wallet, but it won't affect your body, and it could make you ill.
Sit-ups or crunches will strengthen the muscles in your belly, and the physical activity will burn fat. So yes, sit-ups do work. The only way to lose weight and tone your body is through proper exercise and a healthy diet.
I am sure that someone will come on here after me and say they took a pill and it worked for them, but it's irrelevant to listen to the individual stories of people. "Anecdotal" evidence is no evidence at all. Something may have worked for one person, but the scientific evidence does not support it working in all cases. The science does support healthy eating habits and exercise working in almost all cases. "Almost all" because you are a slave to your genetic makeup. I believe that everyone can achieve a healthy weight, but not everyone can be thin and toned... it's just not in the DNA for some folks.
Oh, and don't buy any machines or anything. All the exercise you need can be done using only your own body. Martial arts courses and dance classes are good, as they help you get your exercise on a schedule and you learn a valuable skill while having fun! (Just don't think that once-a-week is enough)

Go to the doc and make sure you don't have a medical problem first, like thyroid or something. Have him give you an exercize program, as well as a proper diet. I have not found any 'simple' ways to lose belly fat. Everything requires patience and lots of work.
Don't listen to the idiots on this site. Get some real support, you WONT find it here.
PS. Try Belly Dancing, they have videos online you can order. Its not as easy at it looks, but at least you could have fun trying.

I dont think there is any simple cure for this. Just good old fashion exercise and healthy eating habits are the only way. Then of course there's always the easy way out......a tummy tuck. Good luck...remember hard work and sacrifice before you can achieve your glory!!!

No its not simple to loose belly fat.
Sit ups are of no use for that.
You have to take a well balanced diet and do abdominal exercise.
If you can get the cd,s of TAEBO by BILLY BLANK , THEY will help you in shaping your abdomen.

Do a few crunches every day 5 or 10 every morning and every night. and if it's getting really bad the cut down your portions but not a lot. instead of eating those little snacks just because they're there say no or have a fruit instead. This helped me.

Plan active dates with your hubby, such as bowling or maybe golfing, instead of dinner plus a movie.
