remember America's scar it bears for dropping on Hiroshima & Nagasaki; remember we're talking about N. Korea- we don't have to go nuclear to beat those guys!

I agree that the US is unlikely to launch a 'first strike' with nuclear weapons. We have developed a vast range of precision weapons that allow us to destroy targets that previously could only be hit by a nuke.

However there are always scenarios where a nuclear weapon is the only realistic answer - such as an underground biological warfare facility where we have to ensure that every single germ is dead.

The word for you is idiot.Japan used weapons of mass destruction in china, the bubonic plague, they bear responsibly as well.December 7 1941 just a clue. And to try and draw any comparison to the situation with North Korea, who is acting out like a spoiled child, is ludicrous.

Whoever thought America would be in Iraq this long? Not many...
as time went on you saw that we would be there for awhile but not at first...

Also.. who made the 1st atomic bomb? America made it and yeah long story make it short, killed a lot of people.

It wouldn't come to ANY surprise if we bombed the sh!t out of North Korea and kill people it wouldn't be the first time the U.S. did it now would it? Takes two to tango. And well America trying to tango by itself like it does sometimes when we just butt into Iraq wasn't the smartest idea now was it?

I didn't know it gave us a scar, I think it showed the world we mean business. But no I don't think we need to go nuclear, I don't think we even need to go to war with them. This whole situation can probably be handled diplomatically, which is always the best option.

I disagree - this is the administration who insisted on doing serious research into using tactical nuclear weapons in Iraq to destroy non-existent weapons caches.

timgsweet is right. Comparing North Korea to 1940's Japan is stupid.

Whether it's necessary to "win" or not would have to be seen once a conventional war got started, now wouldn't it?
