First off, stop smoking. Among other things, the niccotine acts as a stimulant, which can help to burn off the calories which would be converted to body mass.
Secondly, begin a work-out program. Muscle mass is heavier than fat, and I suspect that while you want to gain weigh, you have no desire to gain it as only fat.
Third, make decisions about what types of food you eat relative to your work out and lifestyle. Starchy foods are generally a good way to add weight. Breads, pastas, and potatos are good sources.

Quit smoking.. I did and gained 32 pounds in 2 months and not because I replaced my smoking habit with an eating habit but because nicotine is a stimulant and it speeds up your metabolism.. When you quit smokling cold turkey like I did, your metabolism nose dives and the weight piles on like no tomorrow.. You'll be doing yourself a favor in more ways than one if you throw your cigarettes away now and never look back again.. Gaurenteed!! Good luck

okay why would you want to gain wieght?!?!?!
im just now recovering from anorexia and honey its not cool!!! i would understand if you were my age and size and wanted to gain wighet but be skinny while you can...if you eat mcdonalds and really fatty foods all the time like some of the other ppl are saying you will most likely end up with a kidney infection or youll eat the wrong types of fatty foods there are good fats and then there are bad fats good fats would be like the fat in hamburgers(which i do not like i think all meat is disgusting!!!) but mcdonalds on the otherhand is a bad fat!!! and twinkies wont help you gain good wieght youll just gain wieght around your thighs and butt!!! (not very attractive by the way) and i would know plenty about good fats and bad fats because i was talking to my nutritionist and dietition today about them so you dont really want to gain wieght because later in life youll most likely want to lose it again!!!
but heck what do i know?!?!?! (sarcasm)

stop drinking and smoking... i have a friend who gained weight normally after he stopped smoking. he used to look like a twig. now you'd never know he looked that way before.
alcohol affects your liver (which processes waste and regulates metabolism) and your blood (which carries nutrients to the rest of your body), and smoking affects your lungs (which take in oxygen to fuel the processes in your body). if you'll give them a break, it'll do your body a world of good.

Eating regularly, proper meals, and exercise. This what people do to lose weight, but it's actually the way to gain weight also.

First off, don't smoke. It's bad for you. Second off, I have the same problem. I suggest researching extremely fatty foods and eat them.
