This is one that many struggle with. It is a day of rest, but after church services what to do? Fellowship with others helps, a potluck lunch for example. Many times we'll go for a scenic drive or walk. If you have a waterfowl preserve nearby, it's always a pleasant way to spend a Sabbath afternoon feeding the ducks and geese; touring botanical gardens are also a good activity. God asks us to rest and stop our daily rushed pace and enjoy His created works. Hope this helps.

Personally, I try to be 'creative' in consecrating the Sabbath Day...

First off, I don't work for any pay at all, but I do manage to get some household chores done as usual. I always make it a point to commune with Nature and spend most of the day being outdoors. It is more fun to spend it with family and friends. I even enjoy a round of golf at times, while being one with the Heavenly Father and the Earthly Mother.

On rainy Sabbaths I spend my time indoors, writing, composing a song, or reading Sacred Scriptures mostly to distract me from watching TV or reading the papers at all costs.

And I normally fast every Sabbath [from Friday evening to Saturday dusk], although on occasion I have succumbed to temptation [and sinned!] for joining in weekend picnic/barbeques and birthday parties of family members and relatives.

And, of course, I make sure to commune with The Brotherhood at the appointed times of the day for the early morning, noon, and evening prayers...

Peace be with you!

What I do to keep the sabbath day holy, is to not shop on Sundays, not work (if possible), attend church, partake of the sacrament, and try to watch, read, or listen to inspirational movies, books, music only! So, in other words, nothing that could be offending or unpleasing in the eyes of the Lord. I do my best to study my scriptures, and to pray more on those days, and surround myself with people whom will spiritually uplift me.

At the beginning of each and every day I give myself to Jesus. Works for me.

go to church... and not work... but just praise God for everything. and you shouldnt just pray and read the bible on sunday, you should be doing that everyday (not saying you dont) but theres alot of fake christians out there that just think "if i go to church on sunday im going to heaven" but yeah thats not the way it is... if Jesus is the king of your like pray to Him and He will answer you
