do we need to be open in relationships?

i mean if u carring on with somebody n he ditched u. n after some time if u like someone else n he proposed u so at dat time what u think do we have to tell dat person about our past life?

The most important point in a relationship is mutual respect and trust. If your new bf is ok with your past then I dont think there is a problem. But you should be frank about your past cos him coming to know from someone else in a distorted version will be a hindrance to your mutual understanding. however, one should be able to move on in life without living or regretting about the past. I hope your boyfriend is a person who respects your choices... I mean incase of any moment of anger or weakness if he blurts out something about your past relationship, then you should decide on how to deal with it.. and how you would like to face it..!! mentally, boys tend to act broadminded to attract girls though they are not.. their true colors would come out when the testing times come between the both..!!

I have lived in an open relationship for nearly 7 yrs and they are not as easy as they seem. I will say this though if u are going to live in one make sure both partners have 100% trust.
