I moved from LA to SF and a woman I really like is visiting me from LA for the weekend. She suggested going to Napa and she will be staying at my place. In a prior conversation, she also mentioned that she wasn't interested in starting a relationship at the moment. A year ago, we fooled around but didn't become an item. We remained good friends. She knows that I am interested in her. Do you think she is coming strictly as a friend or is there something more to it? Any suggestions for finding out where I stand?

Sometimes the direct approach is best, just ask. But if that seems too bold for your liking, look for the following signs. Pay attention to your conversations with the person in question.
1) Does this person show a special interest in having a conversation with you and, once started, make an effort to keep that conversation going?
2) Has this person taken a sudden interest in your life and hobbies? This is a sure sign that he or she is interested in something.
3) Other elements of body language include frequent eye contact, holding your gaze and looking down before looking away.
4) Does the person you're wondering about just plain smile at you a lot?
Just remember, take each moment like it will be the last. This I feel will be a good start for you in knowing. Good Luck!!!!!!!

Quite a few I know would love to be with a certain person and has said those words, meaning they are "busy" or their hands are tied over a situation. Her comming to visit you weather it be friendship or what I would say be there for her, let her know you will listen and can trust she sure wouldnt come to tell you off..sounds like you made a trusting impression to her and thats good

the best thing u must do, ask her directly. dont be aggresive or not like begging just tell her that u feel for her and she's a sensible person so it's better that u talk like grown ups, and assure her that after that discussion things wont change whatever her answer would be. all the best :-)
