That is a date, and eventually you were the one who invited him and he did not refused! And also the friend want to give both of you a break so that you will enjoy your time with him!All relationship begins with closeness and soon you will find out you are both comfortable with each other!Goodluck!

It definitely could be a date, especially since his friend wanted to let you two go alone. However, I would set my expectations too high just in case he isn't thinking along those lines. Although I would have to say, from experience, that when I guy offers to pick you up, he thinks it's a date. I would just go with the hopes of having a good time and just see what happens. If you are both on the same page, as far as wanting it to be a date or not, you will definitely find out. Good luck!

No I wouldn't consider this a date especially if he's gonna pay you back. It's more like friends hanging out. Sounds like his buddy is jealous or maybe he knows something you don't know.

I would be able to answer that better later after I know what happened. It could be and it could not be, it all depends

No, if you did not intend for it to be a date then it isnt.... and it would be wise to let the other parties involved know that it is not, unless you want it to be. :)
