True, what the other individual said - the stress is internalized, but what we have is children that have no other way to deal with things and figure the only way is to end it. And of course there's pressure - to be good, or be really bad (if that's your rep), so why on earth would you admit you were thinking of ending it all because you'd just had it? That would be WEAK! In this crazy, technical, fast-paced world we've forgotten to take care of our most important resources - people. Relationships overall stink and I know too many kids who are used to fighting our their problems or they have relatives that have been shot, are in jail or killed themselves. I was in a school where a 7th grader shot himself and then had two others tell me they'd thought about it, too, one even trying to hang. Relationships - I think that's the key, though I often wish I had a magic wand.

The world has always been a tough place, for teens and adults, too. When you feel like committing suicide, it usually doesn't mean you want to die, normally it means you just want the bad feelings to end. Time changes everything, and feeling bad or depressed or overwhelmed is normal for everyone. If you can weather through a few days or weeks of bad feelings, things will change and you'll probably feel better. But if it goes on for longer than that, talk to a friend, or someone you can trust. You may need professional counseling to work out your feelings.

No outside force can put stress on a person to make them commit suicide. A person reacts to outside forces, and may committ suicide. But a person's emotions are personal reactions to outside stresses, not results of outside stresses.

I don't know; it's so disfunctional! Mostly, all the adults are trying to make a buck... Many don't care what kind of stress they are putting on vulnerable people.....they want you to try drugs or believe some lie so that they can control you, use you...like, join the army.....
Keep your eyes open for the good people & the good that's happening everywhere. Try not to be too critical...see, cnvc.org
