I had a c-section bikini cut style the 3rd of this month i have naturally been sore in the incision area ever since but now it hurts to urinate and not only my cut but now my lower abdomen hurts even to the slightest touch (the pouch area) its hard to get up and down without being in horrible pain. what are the signs of bloodclotting?..could this be something serious or has anyone else experienced the same thing? i may just be overreacting but just curious..i do have a Dr appointment in 3 days to get the rest of the staples removed. thank you for taking time to answer my worrie.

A sign of your pain coming back is a major sign of infection. Don't take a chance, go to the Doctor ASAP! Things like this can get worse fast. You want this to be fixed with antibiotics and not opening of the incision to drain.
I had an infection come up at 2 weeks post-partum after my 2nd c-section and lucky enough I caught it early so antibiotics worked. I didn't have a fever (which most times they say you will get) My incision was just more red, and I was really sore.

Have you changed your pain medication? Missed a dose? Lifted something too much? Something different?
I have had 3 sections and the recovery has been different on each one. I have had the pains get worse. Not sure if I remember any painful urination. But you could be getting a UTI from the catheter or maybe not drinking enough water.
Question: Does your incision burn?
I ask this because with my last section, I opened up my incision on the inside. Not the outside where I could see it though. It burned like crazy. Sharp and made me not want to move. And the pains got worse after they seemed to be getting better. It made my recovery take longer. Im sure you already have a supply of pain medications. Just keep up with them. I hate taking medications but I learned the hard way that if you try to go a while without taking them, you will start to hurt. And then the meds won't work as well. It's weird but that's how it works.
As with everything, If you are worried about it, go see a doctor or you could just call your doctor. Explain your situation to him/her and ask if they feel you should come in or not. They might just schedule you for an appt to get your staples in a day or two early. Just to be safe. Or they could tell you it's normal and don't worry. But either way, it will help you feel better.
Congrats on the new baby!

Call your doctors office and let him know what you are feeling, cause when you go in three days he's going to yell at you anyway for not calling lol.

I had blood clots with my first C-Section. I looked bruised from my incision to my pelvic. And I had the sensation that my incision was being pulled apart. I could barely stand up straight. And my stomach was really sore.

With my second C-Section I had nothing like that only discomfort when I got up out of something or when I bent and picked something up.

I would definitely say if you are still this uncomfortable a week later and you hurt even when not moving those muscles call the damn doctor :) I'm sure he will squeeze you in. FYI take some pain reliever before you go and he pokes around in your tummy.

I had a lot of pain when I urinated about a week after my c-section also. I ended up having a UTI because when I got home from the hosp I held it in for too long because it hurt to get up & go and I hated asking for help. I would call your doctor asap and ask them if it's anything to worry about, better to be safe than sorry. It's only been a week though could just be the normal incision pain *shrugs* call a doc :)

When I had my c-section it hurt for a few days, I would say no more than 2 weeks. It is just the numbness wearing off. I wouldn't worry about it. You are recovering from major surgery so naturally your body is getting back to the way it was, it just sometimes involves a little pain.

Let your Dr. know that you hurt to urinate and your lower abs, and he/she should prescribe you pain meds. Other than that, I wouldn't worry about the blood clot. Just take it easy and don't do much lifting until you are well enough to move about and exercise. IMPORTANT***Remember to wear your tummy flatener girdle. it will help to reduce your pouch alot. and cleanse the incision area really well because it could smell bad.

I have had two c-sections with in 18 months apart and neither one of them did I ever have pains like that. I was out of the hospital with no staples in 2 days with both of them. Did you streach wrong or lift the baby wrong? You might try taking some Motrin for the pain. I would call th Dr and see if they can suggest something. It should not be hurting like that now... Congratulations on the baby.

I had a c-section the 1st of April and to this day my incision still hurts if I bend or move the wrong way. If you are that worried about it you should go to the doc's office and get it checked out.

I think you should see a doctor sooner than in three days, your cut should not be getting more sore, i had one with my son and it wasn't really painful at all until i got an infection in it. I would suggest that it may be an infection, and to get it checked out ASAP better to be safe than sorry!!! I don't ever remember it hurting to go to the toilet at all not even to do #2!!! Not to worry you but go and get it checked!!

Your blood clots in your legs, not your abdomen. After my kids were born by c section, it felt as though my bladder was going to drop out and it was painful to urinate.
The rest is up to your doctor
Congratulations!!!!!
