No reincarnations

2006-07-10 18:47:33 · answer #1 · answered by robert p 7 · 2 0

If there is reincarnation, there is more than just this earth for beings to live on. Some of the other places can be called plains of existence. Some people that believe in reincarnation believe that we eventually progress into other being than humans. But that it takes many human lives. So yes, the cycle would go on.

The key word in your question is BELIEVE. People can believe in reincarnation or even reincarnation after the end of the earth. People can and do believe ANYTHING.

Re-incarnation is a Truth and souls keep taking birth. Earth is not the only habitable planet, there are thousands of earth like planets.

and then there are astral planes, lower and higher planes and finally the Causal planes.

So even if this earth is gone, incarnation at other planets and planes would continue.

The earth is not the only habitable planet... like christianity is not the only religion

Absolutely. Earth fits a lot of the descriptions of "hell" in the bible. It's not our home. Earth is like a kindergarten for reincarnating souls.

We exist eternally.

Yes.

Hinduism teaches that the entire universe undergoes the same cycle (everything physical is created, preserved, and dissolves and then repeats the process...everything spiritual is unchanging). When one universe dissolves away another universe manifests out from God and the process keeps on going. Atleast that is what Hinduism teaches. The only way to stop reincarnation, according to Hinduism, is to reach moksha. Moksha is often translated as "God Realization" or the Hare Krishnas call it Krishna Consciousness. Moksha means to be liberated from samsara (the cycle of birth, death, birth, death, etc) and to merge into the Oneness of God. (Saivites and Shaktas teach that when you merge the individual you is lost and you are united with God, Vaishnavas teach that when you merge the individual you is not lost and you are an eternal companion to God...another way of explaining it is: Saivites and Shaktas say that your soul merges into the Supreme Soul and thus loses its individuality. It, itself, remains, but is unaware of itself as anything other than God. Vaishnavas woul dsay that the soul merges into the Supreme Soul but retains that awareness of individuality....other than moksha is still liberation from the cycle and union with God). There are, then, many paths according to Hinduism as to how to achieve moksha: Bhaktiyoga, Karmayoga, Jnanayoga, Rajayoga, Ashtangayoga, Kriyayoga, Tantra, etc, etc, etc.

That's the Hindu perspective anyways.

Yes, it just goes on, on the other planets in the other universes. It's infinite and so is the process of the sould journey.
