No. There are many abused children in the world, but it does not give them the power to act in your dreams. Director Wes Craven is the original creator of Krueger as a true personification of evil. Others tried to make him into a cult hero with a sense of humor - as he killed you.

I personally don't enjoy these movies, and maybe you should avoid watching them if it bothers you.
