Men are possessive because they want to control women.. and sometimes they feel a bit insecure. A mature and well adjusted man will not be possessive. A boy is still a boy and he has to grow up. If a boy accepts your "NO" answer.. that is a sign of respect. If he insists.. that's not respect.. Dump him!

she is right, they like a challenge. It roots back from the cave man days. But have you noticed that some women do it also? it is a human thing. A need for accomplishment.
