I have tried and tried to find the answer, but I can't seem to find it. All I want to know is if there is a certain year or whatever that a woman can ask a man and if there is a name for it. I was told that there is, but they aren't certain. Please help me. Thank you.

Every 4 years, on February 29th ( aka Sadie Hawkins Day ) a woman can ask a man to marry her. Feb 29th only happens once every 4 years

Leap year, every four years, and I believe the day is Sadie Hawkins Day- I think it is February. Sadie Hawkins Day is a bit from the old L'il Abner comics.

I don't think that there is a certain year that you should ask a man to marry you cause me and my boyfriend are only 16 and I asked him to marry me and when we are 18 we are getting married so I think that you can ask anytime you want to as long as it's what you really want and if your sure it's what you want

You're thinking of Sadie Hawkins Day and it was originally in November. Here are a few sites that contain more information.

If you want to ask him - just do it! There is no special year that makes it proper... speak from your heart and you can't go wrong.
