When any human goes wrong , we take recourse to the 'free will' excuse but when anything good happens why do we credit God? If humans really has a free will then why should he follow the path shown by God- we are free to decide - arn't we?

Let me give you an example: I am a teacher. I offer my students the chance to do the right thing or recieve a detention. I know for a fact there are some students who will never receive a detention and some who will always receive a detention. It is their choice, they have free will. Now, if I decide to give everyone a gift that didn't get a detention... yes, it was their free will that earned it.... but I am providing the gift, therefore I should get a little credit.. plus, it was probably my guidance (or at least some teachers/parents guidance throughout the years) that ensured those kids did the right thing. And God is the ultimate guide! Got sets our course and directs it.. but we have the choice to turn and go whatever way we please.... when we rely on ourselves and fail, it is due to human error... but when we get it right it was because we did what our guide led us to do.... and we both get credit, me for doing the right thing and God for helping me do the right thing.

Because God is good and everything good comes from God.

YEs people are free to take the good or bad path, but people will have to take responsibility for the fact that their actions have consequences. If you don't follow God's path well that's your choice, but when you end up with a sad and miserable life that ends with an eternity in hell, don't get all upset and say that no-one warned y'all.

God is sort of like pancakes. Sometimes they are really just awesome pancakes, but your too full to really enjoy them.
Sometimes they are really nasty dry pancakes, but your so hungry you eat them anyway.

By giving god credit you eat the really good ones, even though your too full. By giving yourself credit, you eat the really crappy ones only because you're starving.

So either way you kind of get screwed. The only way to really enjoy the really tasty pancakes is to wait until you're hungry before you cook them.

Then you can totally give credit to God and really, really enjoy those pancakes.

Actually, the truth of the matter is you have free will. You give god credit for creating you, nothing more, nothing less. Thank him for what you have because all you have is your soul, nothing more, nothing less.

Because after you die, your money, possessions, even your great deeds, all left behind. All you have that no one can ever take away from you is your soul. I have come to the conclusion that even god cannot take away your soul. He can create anything, but even he cannot break the rules he laid down.

Eh, Yeah. Dude you sound like you're having some doubts in your path. A little mad at mom and dad are you for choosing to raise you as a christian? Don't sweat the small stuff, when you get out of the house you'll be able to do whatever you want - go be muslim or jew or hare krysna. And yes its o.k. to be gay, don't worry about it.

How can there be a free will if God knows everthing It means even your next move. For him to know you next move he must set it up so what part of it is free will. No God, is just free excuse

Better to credit God for the good things than blame him for the bad, I guess. Free will is mentioned in the Christian Bible, and people will do what they want, and often people want to do what's right ... at least for them.

What you're saying is, an atheist who steals a wallet strictly for money and no other reason is less ethical than a Nazi, a KKK member, a christian terrorist like James Kopp, or a christian serial killer like Dennis Rader who say they "did it for god".

Your argument is astounding, and not in a good way.

We have free will to choose.. God gave us free will... but.. God also gives us everything that we have.. every skill we have... every good thing we receive is from him....

sometimes.. when God gives his blessed people rain.. evil people get a little too.

Free will ends as the responsibility begins.
