Real Estate. You can set your hours around your schedule and it is easy to get into. Just contact a local real estate company and tell them you are interested. Alot of times the company will train you and help you get your license in no time. Also the Real Estate market is booming and you can potentially earn alot of money.

It would help if you provide info on the type of work / profession / skills you have to work with....

This won't be immediate, but I've seen it work: Make yourself indispensable to your current place of employment and then let them know that you will now be workign for home -- not asking them IF you can work from home but telling them you will be doing the same kind of work from home, and if that doesn't work for them then this is your 2 weeks notice. Before you do that be sure you have already talked to other firms, maybe even competitors -- consider doing consulting work on your own for your current firm and others.

Y can also take your dream hobby and work EVER NIGHT (that means NO TV or any other distraction once your kid is in bed) to make it a business. This means your are 100% focused (write a business plan and list of tasks for every night) and from 9 pm to midnight you only work on getting this off the ground -- two guys I know have done this; one started a company building parts for model cars in his garage, the other became editor of an off-roading magazine after writing a blog...

Good luck and no matter what, be sure you put your boy first (sound slike you already do and you should be very proud for that).

If you are desparate, you would be better off not looking for an at home job. I have been told that the jobs do exist but it requires a lot of research to find those positions.

It is not something you will find one day and start making hundreds of dollars the next. Regardless of the ads, a real at home job is exactly that, A JOB.

If you need a job immediately you would be better off applying temporary agencies. They will often start you on a position quickly and pay you for your work at the end of the week. Please go and check out this website www.jobsearchlog.com. It is a free application which will allow you to keep track of any ads you apply for and will save websites in one place so you can go back to them with one click.

Best of Luck,

Karen
