peer pressure does a lot of crap.. same thing happend to me and now I really miss my wavy hair.... you CAN fix this problem though. Get your hair trimed and then buy Pantene Pro-V shampoo and conditioner for damaged or wavy hair. it's about $7 total (for both) and it works great. It's to bad my parents are to strict to let me buy it!

DO NOT go to a salon, it will do the same thing pantene does in 3 days, only it will cost 5 times more!

Just cut it off and start over. That's the only option you have for truly healthy hair again. All other products will simply mask the damage, like concealer does for pimples. But in the meantime, you can get a weave or even a wig (seriously) which will probably give you more freedom than a weave (some are as cheap as 20 dollars on sale and still goodlooking, and you can get a whole bunch). After that, try to avoid harsh chemicals, parabens, sodium lauryl sulfate, petroleum products (like mineral oil, propylene glycol, etc.) and such to get it growing back with the least amount of damage possible. Baby shampoo works just as well as any shampoo to cleanse the hair and it is perfect as far as ingredients go.

Well, first, I would recommend getting a trim to get rid of all the split ends. Then, before straightening, use a heat protection product. I use Tresseme's Instant Heat Tamer. Finally, after I got my haircut, I bought a special hair mask that I use once a week to make my hair silky and soft. The brand I have is called Tahe, but I'm not sure they carry it everywhere. Ask your hairdresser if the salon carries any hair masks.

Go to a hair salon and get a deep conditioning treatment. After that, stay away from straighteners. Use John Frieda's Frizz-Ease or the new Pantene smootheners. Ignore your friends' advice. It will just lead you to more grief.

Nexxus products work wonders. Use the Humectress Ultimate Moisterizing Conditioner and leave it on your hair for 10 minutes. You can rinse it out or leave it in but I suggest you rinse it out. Do this every day for about 2 weeks and you'll see results. And try not to straighten your hair so much. You can still do it but not as much.

i've straightened my hair a few times too, and u really need to put on hair oil to keep it moisturized as straightened hair dries out easily after 3 months or so.. and, u also need to do hair treatment to strengthen your hair. well, i dont go to the salon to do it as it is expensive...so i do it myself at home. if i wash my hair, i let it dry by itself. it is advisable not to use hair dryer...but i've also heard that using hair dryer is good....hmm...dont straighten your hair too often!! hope that helps

When you want to have straight hair, naturally certain outer pressure has tobe exerted and because of that hair gets damaged. Please make use of hair care products of premium brands regularly which nurishes and moisturises. This prevents hair damage. If you need information about these products, please contact me.
