Because you assign reason to your life, and people do not want to take responsibility for themselves.

This is an excellent question, but you are assuming that your idea that life has no meaning is a fact.

This idea that life has no meaning is not a fact - it is just your opinion. My question to you is can you live with your idea that your life or life in general has no meaning? You are not a rock or a star so I think the comparison is inappropriate.

It is natural for people to look for meaning in life and their lives because we are blessed with mind, heart and soul. The mind, heart and soul craves, thirsts for meaning and fulfillment. I think it cannot be otherwise (except, maybe you are the exception, although I hope not). It is a need of human beings to be needed and to have a purpose in life.

Are you in some kind of troubles that you wish to share further? I understand how you feel.

There's is always a meaning to life whether it is good or bad it depend how you look at it. Different people lead their life differently certain things you encounter may affect you a lot but to others it may just a part and parcel of their life.

To look at life it depend how much you had went through, exposed and then get back on your feet again. Things that are good may not be good and things that are bad may be good in the other way. Don't think that much if the thing is just a small issue. The meaning of life to me is to live simple and feel appreciate of the things you had accomplished. It can be just a very small thing. ;-)

MercyMe says it perfectly in their song "All Because of This":
"Why do we do the things we do?
How can we sing when there seems no reason to?
How do we smile when there's not much to smile about?
When the world is down who are we to stand and shout?
They wonder why we do the things we do.
Its all because of this!
Its all because of this!
We've tasted love, tasted hope, tasted holiness!
And they wonder why, we do the things we do."

The reason we can't accept that is because we have experienced the opposite. At least I have.

Never try to tell me that I am not important, because I know God has called me His child.
Never try to tell me that I don't have a reason, because I know that God has a plan for me.

I'm sorry you have never experienced what I have, but if you want to I'll be here to help you. And if you ever experience what I have you WILL have a hard time accepting that life has no meaning.

Life can become so absorbed with living that in different lives, people become lost in survival. For some survival is more a reality or unreality, living from day to day can become so monotonous for the individual that the drudge can blot out the true meaning of life. It is much easier to switch off and pretend that life has no meaning, in that way, they are not held accountable for anything moral or immoral

Why don't you understand and accept that life DOES have meaning? Why do you think you are here? Just to live and die? I don't think so. God put you here for a purpose..just like everyone else. If you don't know Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, then of course, life has no meaning. BUT, when He is Lord and Savior of your life, that changes everything. Read the bible, my friend, and you will see.....

We, as humans, are created for a purpose. When we are not full filling that purpose, we fill empty, and that our life is meaningless. For instance, Elvis Presley was probably the most famous person alive 6 months before he died. He had great wealth, fame, fortune etc. But he was quoted as saying that he was "lonely has Hell." God created us to have fellowship with Him. When we do not have a relationship with God, our life can feel meaningless. But no matter what we do, He is always there to welcome us with open arms. Read the Bible and ask God to show you his plan for your life. I assure you, your life will soon have more meaning and purpose then you ever thought possible.

People need a purpose and to find meaning in life and suffering and death.

I would say that it's because we have "eternity in our hearts."

I realize you won't like that answer.

Looking for meaning is a common experience, no matter what your beliefs are.

Some find meaning. And find that searching for meaning is a worthwhile endeavor.

If you are comfortable with your decision that life has no meaning, why does it bother you so much that others disagree? Why are you searching for meaning and reason in that?

It's hard to accept that life has no meaning coz' since deep wtihin us we wanted to make our life meaningful. Don't you?

We feel that we are here in this world for a purpose. And we can make our life meaningful by fulfilling that purpose.

But what is our purpose in life? Who determines it?

It is man's nature that once we fulfills something through our own creativity, we are happy> That means we always make or do something for a certain purpose. If we don't do anything, & no result, it seems that life for that moment is dull & dark or we feel emptiness. And I know you feel thesame.
