the story of that woman and her family in iraq??? i'm not saying it didn't happen. clearly something did happen. but i just don't buy what the news is feeding us about what exactly happened. and now, now, they've killed 3 of our soldiers in revenge!!! what are they doing about that. my heart goes out to that family, but i'm just afraid that our "government" isn't going to investigate this very fairly. seems to me they want to "kiss ***" to keep the so called "peace". (during war, now there's an oxymoron)

Well the first allegation that was raised about a US soldier killing an elderly man was proven false. I believe the second allegation against the 8 soldiers currently being held about killing a family will also prove untrue (1 of them is from my home town and its regular news here). So that is 2 out the three; and what was consistent about the 1st two was that the allegations came from individuals opposed to us being in Iraq. Remember there are 3 main "cultures" in Iraq and one of them is very loyal to Saddam....yeah that is the one that made the last two allegations but I don't know about this last one.
On the negative side; think about this for a second, we move 150,000 soldiers and 30,000 contractors a long ways from home and for a period of several years - thats a 180,000 people. How many cities of 180,000 have "no bad apples" in them?

Sweety, it's a cruel world, and rape as part of war goes into prehistory. Rapine and Slaughter, Rape and Pillage, battle cries of old. WWII Russians raping German women in Berlin, Japanese Raping Nanking, U.S.Civil War, Korea, and the allies raped as well in WWII. It is a fact of war. Now as far as fair government. Do you think you actually cast a vote that counts in electing the President? Well, no you don't. You vote to guide the electors of the Electoral College in their selection and voting for our President. Hows that for fair. And the electors don't have to go with the popular vote. Go to a site like putfiles and click on the war videos lining the screen. There you'll see American soldiers raking an Iraqi with machine gun fire in overkill and listen to what they are saying. Revenge goes both ways. I wouldn't begin to know how I'd act in a war situation, just that if my best friend was killed there'd be some revenge killing outa me from then on. I feel for the family of the girl. I can in no way condone war, or it's by-products, but business is business. Money fuels this war and money keeps it going. The world learned a valuable lesson watching Vietnam on the news, how to beat the strength of American Arms. Just the same way Americans beat the British in the Revolution. Hit and run and never quit.

As sad as it might be things happen to good young people that cannot be properly explained. Perhaps in the unreal world of combat and frustration with the things back home they found a target for the inner hostility and let it out on that family. What good can come out of this is to realize how small the incident rate is of things like that. For every terrible thing done there are thousands of good things. Naturally the media Will not give good things much attention but center their reporting on negatives. I am saddened by the whole thing and hope our men can come back with the mission accomplished.

but i think that the Iraq whore was asking for it . she probably led them on (like most woman do ) and when it came time to put out she said no . and when the family try to stop them they were killed .
the Iraq people are scum bags and should be killed ,all of them ,
did the ***** and her family deserved what they got.YES!!
as for the Americana's ,they should of received medals for the killings , being a girl i saw nothing wrong with the rape and killings
they just got what they deserved

I took this story with some disbelief as well, but our own soldiers brought this incident to the military's attention. This is not only a breech of protocol but it makes not only our country but our armed forces look bad, if we are allowed to do things like this, than you might as well say it's okay for terrorists to blow up children and churches. We gave the moral high ground, so we have to behave like we have the moral high ground.

I do believe what the media has said. As for as kissing *** I think that isn't being done. I think they need to bring those people home and get out of other people's business. They haven't done a thing they were suppose to do and I don't think they are going to.

I agree ... after all the blatantly one-sided, anti-Bush, anti-war, anti-America stories that haev been reported on in the media about the Iraq war. It is hard for me to believe ANYTHING that they report.

5 deferments - this is all very vague to them.

I will give them the benifit of the doubt, but if they are found to have done this they should be punished, and punished severly. Killing in combat and in combat situations is one thing. To stalk and do what these guys are accused of is another.
