Are you kidding me? I am a Shakespeare buff and cannot believe I have to answer this question. Shakespeare was and is an amazing author/playwrite who wrote such pieces as Romeo and Juliet, MacBeth, Hamlet, and other well known pieces of beauty. You want to know the best part? I read Romeo and Juliet three times and I learn something new with each time I read it.
"Romeo... Romeo, Wherfore art thou Romeo?"

Someone who wrote many famous plays that countless children in high school are now forced to read, hundreds of years after his death. These children have no idea how to read this very old form of English, which is unsurprising because they can barely read novels written in completely modern English. Children will continue to be tormented by the name "Shakespeare" until teachers get a clue and have their children study books not written half a millenium ago.
