Just to add a Classical flavour..

The Latin would be "Clavus ferrugineus" (rusty looking nail)
or "Clavus ferrugine obductus" (nail covered in rust)

In Greek they didn't seem to have a simple phrase so the best I could find was "helos io diephtharmenos" (a nail ruined by rust)!
ήλος ιω διεφθαρμενος
