Some of you will probably think me a dork, but I was reading Matthew 7 today, and I found Jesus' story about the speck in one person's eye and the plank in your own eye quite interesting. I mean, have you ever pictured this? Anyone within several meters of the person with the plank would have to duck every time that person moved his/her head! And if not, they would be clobbered! I realize that it is symbolic, but just think about it for a moment! Pretty interesting image, huh?

Yes it is a pretty interesting image now taht you mention it. It would be difficult to not notice a plank sticking out of your eye, but mind you, some people are like that . There is a saying that goes something like: some people never notice things that are just at the end of their noses, or something like that. Or the last place you look is right in front of your nose.

So many people picture Jesus the "prozac" Jesus with a Ben Stein voice, but Jesus had strong emotions of humour, compassion, love, and anger. His story about the plank could possibly have brought on a few chuckles!

hmmm.. plank? I was thinking more of a beam.. like the main beam at the peak of a roof... you know... 4 inches wide, 12 inches tall, and 30 feet long!!!
