when tomatoes come in u CAN'T stop me. i know fried is bad but WHO CARES.i can eat them every day, with any meal....i just wanted to know if i was the only one who luv them as much... thank u

Love 'em, love 'em, love 'em! I live very near the Irondale Cafe, which was the inspiration for the movie. Everyone around here makes them (competition). I therefore do get to have them with almost every meal. If I don't get them when I'm out, I'm making them at home.

YUM! I love them. I could eat them twice a day. Dipped in buttermilk and corn meal and fried to a golden brown makes them the perfect summer appetizer. I am in the deep south and we eat them all summer long.

I love them. I've made one batch this season. (trying to let the tomatoes ripen on the vine.) My daughter didn't like them but they were fantastic. I just put a little salt on them and I'm happy.

yeppums. it's mainly a southern thing though. I am from FL and have had them dozens of times, but I moved to Seattle and you can't find a green tomato anywhere... same thing with Grits! they just don't sell them!

My mom used to make them, and my dad and bros didn't like them, so we got to eat the whole batch. Never tried them with ranch (we just used salt), but since **** would taste good with ranch, I can imagine that would taste good. Everytime I taste one, it reminds me of her, whether they are good ones or not.
