I don't know about the galaxy comment - I'll leave that one to someone else. But the pro-life / pro-death penalty dichotomy is an interesting thing, no?
Be careful not to lump all Christians together when making such statements. A significant minority of Christians recognize that a pro-life position must be what one Christian leader called a "seamless garment" - that is, a position that cannot be cut and sewn to meet our needs. If Christians are pro-life, then they ought to be pro-life in everything: against abortion, against murder, against unjust wars, against capital punishment.
An important note, however. Simply because an individual is working for one pro-life cause doesn't mean that they must work work for ALL pro-life causes. I suspect you and I view the Christians of which you speak differently; you (or others) might perhaps view them with hypocrisy, while I view them as being on the path to a right understanding of the value of life. I do believe that abortion is a great evil in our society, just as I believe that the death penalty is a great evil. I welcome all who share that view - even just a little bit - and encourage their work toward a consistent ethic of life, even if none of us is completely consistent in our own lives.

That's a fact....althought don't know about other galaxies.
As for the Death Penalty. Personally, I believe if you would prevent the crime by shooting a person, then the death penalty ought to be applicable after that fact.
Who among us would not shoot a serial killer or rapist to stop them?? Would we lose any sleep over it ...probably not. And yet after these folks have already committed their horrible acts, we hesitate to put them down like the rabid dogs they are. Atticus Finch didn't flinch and neither should we. When the judicial process has been faithfully followed...and the guilty identified, then let Manson and his ilk reap what they sowed.
And truly is death less humane than imprisoning a person in a concrete cell for the rest of their lives??

I don't appreciate questions that lump ALL Christians into one view point.
I am Christian and I don't agree with the term "pro-life" because the mothers life is important too. I believe in abortion in cases of incest, rape and the mothers health. I also have looked into the statistics of abortion and found that a large number of women over 40 have abortions. Obviously, they didn't think they could get pregnant.
As far as the death penalty, the Bible clearly says to send back murderers to God for His own judgement. He looks harshly on premeditated murder.
This taking over the galaxies thing, huh?

You know Christan taking over the galaxies is not a bad thought! If real Christians, Christians that lived like Jesus did and loved like Jesus did (I'm not talking about Christians that just say there christian but don't live it! ) If the ones that live it took over... this place would be a better place!! There wouldn't be a selfish person on the galaxies. We would love one another so much, that we would. be willing to give our lives for one another instead of taking it !! I want to live in a world like that!!

A pro-life maxim is that one should not harm an innocent third party, that has no voice or ability to protect itself.
Death penalty is for persons that have reached the age of reason and are of sound mind. They have harmed another, and have the capacity to understand their decision to do so.

Prolife? Yes, as long as it does not effect the mother.
Yes. I am. 100% both ways. Jesus Himself was for the death penalty.
Is killing terror leaders wrong?
The Detroit Free Press
A very, very good question found there. Let's see what is again happening: “Suicide attacks push limits when the bombers are kids” – [Michael Matza – Knight Ridder newspapers]. We were all shocked at what happened there. “Palestinian youth believe that if killed fighting for Islam, they will go to heaven and delight in the company of beautiful virgins” – [World Magazine]. And here you see Hussam Abdu, a 16-year-old boy who had that bomb strapped to his body and he gave up. He did not want to die. Well, “The U.S. blocks U.N. Security Council rebuke of Israel. [USA Today, Bill Nichols & Barbara Slavin]. you know, i am absolutely shocked that they're using children to commit suicide in order to promote their terrorism.
A sheik, Ahmed Yassin, trained these children and they put him to death and everyone is complaining now. Wait a minute! Don't you believe the Bible? The Bible says in the Noahic Covenant, “Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by him shall man's blood be shed”, Genesis 9:5,6. Under the Mosiac Covenant, Exodus 20 verse 13, “Thou shall not kill”. The Hebrew there is murder. Turn the page. “He that smites a man so that he dies shall be put to death", Leviticus 24:17.
This man was training these little children to put bombs in their body and this kid says, “They gave me $25 and told me I'd have 72 virgins”. What would a 16-year-old do with them? He probably wouldn't know what to do. How sad. Yet this man who was killed was behind all of this. What did you say, Jesus? In Mark 9:42, “Whosoever shall offend one of these little children that believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged around his neck and he were cast into the sea.”
Now, that sounds like capital punishment to me. You drop a guy into the sea and he's gone. And the policemen and military men are ministers of God and they bear not the sword in vain, Romans 13:14. That's not for peeling potatoes. I say murderers should be put to death. Even some of these juveniles who are killing everyone around this country.

Perhaps they think that if the death penalty is good enough for Jesus, it is good enough for the rest of us.
I always enjoy it when they deny that innocent men neer get the death penalty. Now THAT doesn't lead to any contradictions . . . .

No, I am anti-death penalty. That is old testament law "an eye for an eye". New testament is about forgiveness, not that I advocate letting murderers run free.
