Are you legally married? If yes, then tell your favortite Christian clergy than while you are married in the eyes of The Law, you don't feel married in the eyes of God. Ask him or her for advice on how to receive the holy sacrament of marriage with as much or as little fuss as you two desire.

for catholics, a union outside of the church is not considered a union between man, wife and God unless it is witnessed by God and blessed by a priest. so if you've become catholics, you're actually entitled to a wedding ceremony in church or a blessing outside of the church by a priest if you haven't done so before! Chances are if you appeal to renewal of vows, your priest or pastor would conduct the marriage ritual, it doesnt take long if it's just you and your husband but if you wish to celebrate it, go ahead and go all out, you get a second chance to marry the same wonderful man, this time with God as your witness in the house of God!

if you have a legal marriage certificate, which I do believe that in a handfasting ceramony the preist(ess) still does have to sign and register. There is no reason legally for you to take christian vows. If you want to renew your vows that is something totally different and totally up to the 2 of you.
I am wiccan and my husband is christian but not religious, says so on our marriage certificate too. We had a minister marry us but it wasn't a traditional christian wedding.

If you have to ask that question, you call into question about the faith you profess to believe in. Only you and your partner can answer that question.

The real question is, "What do you believe in and why" And for what ever reason you might now try to give, have you done your home work on it?

You say you are question, then why do some Christians celebrate Christs birthday and some do not? Issues on both sides needed here. Too, why was the celebration even started?

KNOW YOU FAITH, Moreover KNOW WHAT YOU SAY YOU BELIEVE IN

There are 2 important factors. One is as a discipline, studying the thanks to administration a person-pleasant action. the different is as a mindfulness/information practice. deliberately practising silence is a way of quieting and settling the thoughts. you're a lot less likely to be jumping about and reacting internally once you won't be able to talk with others for some days. like a number of styles of meditation, the outcomes are more acceptable even as executed in a collection.

If your husband has given his life to the Lord as well than yes you should definately involve God. However you don't have to do the whole "wedding thing" just a special place and close family and friends. Even just you and your husband alone.. "Where two or more are gathered in my name there I will be also."

Ask your pastor about what would be involved in having your marriage blessed. It might not be "necessary," but it would be a beautiful way to acknowledge your new spirituality. And if you timed it to go with an anniversary, you'd have an even better reason to invite family and friends to celebrate with you.

Take vows in any religion, any language, any place, any time all that is immaterial; what is essential is that it should come from your heart and mean a lot to you. Remember, this a committment between two souls....therefore, do whatever makes you feel you are committed.

I agree with the prayer thing. God will answer you if you ask. I think if it were me, I would want to say Christian vows. But I can't make your decisions.
