I've been on a lot of different stuff over the past 15 years dealing with depression. Sometimes I have found medication that will work well for while, but then will seem to wane in its effectiveness. Sometimes I have found medications that treated the depression well, but had terrible side effects. I am currently on Cymbalta, which is working well. I will just have to wait and see if it wears off.

I tried Paxil and Effexor but I highly recommend that you explore amino acids and supplements. Read depression-free for life by Cousens. I keep plugging the book because I never thought that I could naturally deal with depression. Before taking meds, try supplements

effexor... less chance of weight gain than zoloft and gives you energy. There are different doses and you gradually start... you start low and i think that the doses are relative to your weight. I was only on it for 6months. I think it was very helpful

Adivan. It works well enough that you know what's going around you. You just don't give a darn.
