They are made by Hong Kong based Skyworth Co.Ltd. some sets are faulty., the bad thing is getting them directly from Dell Home Store.
They are VERY difficult to deal with when it comes to exchanges, returns or even warranty purpose work. During the 1-year factory warranty, if your unit is defective, they WILL NOT give you a brand new one, but a refurbished unit, and the changes that second unit is worst are even grater.
If you're a Costco member, i suggest you make the purchase thru them, that way if your set is defective, you can always return it hassle-free to your local warehouse.

Quallity is subjective. If you like it and it is the best looking piece in your budget.....get it.
