I think it helps if you are born into a religious family. But I don't think just because you are, that you'll end up on that path. I definantly think it's something you chose. And God was gracious enough to give it to us for free! Take advantage!!!

More or less the same as citizenship of a country. Same hassles, privileges, rights, duties, confusions, sense of loyalty etc.
Religion does its true purpose only when properly understood. It does not matter whether we choose, inherit or are born with. Then what of destitute, orphans, etc... They have no scope to think about religion , with a more important issue-- that of survival --- on their hands !

You inherit it from your parents (as a foundation) then around 5th grade or so, you start to establish your own system of belief. Either staying with or breaking away from your foundation. So, yes you inherit, but you are also free to chose.

You inherit religious doxological beliefs during your early impressionable years, which law determines you're ready to assume your own--generally at age 18 (varies by state).
From there, you either accept the religious faith you were reared in as your life's choice of worship.....or you set off on your own journey to find a religion that you feel best suits your needs.

Yes religion is something we are born with and we have the human right to believe in what religion we want to believe in.

I believe we have an inherant desire to worship something or someone. We have been given the power of choice (free moral agents) and it's important to study all faiths to decide which one is preaching truth (what are they using as their standard)

all of them. you are born with religion because you parents have you baptized, or not. then you inherit it, because your parents raise you to have their religion. then you get old enough to have independent thought and you choose whatever religion seems right for you.

You are DIFINITELY free to chose! My parents don't attend any church, but I raised myself in the Christian church through my own intentions and desires. It helps to have a positive influence in your life, though.
