I think you mean 1 Gigabyte (1000 MB) MP3 player.

A typical mp3 file (128kbps) is about 4MB. So that's around 250 songs in your MP3 player.

For 256MB mp3 players, it will be around 64 songs for an average of 4MB mp3 file. For 512MB mp3 players, will be around 128 songs. Enjoy!

It depends on the bit rate quality of the songs. Find the length of the song and multiply the number of seconds by the number of kbps (killobits per second). Then divide by 8000 to find the number of Megabytes the song takes up. Unless it's a really short song and very poor quality, you probably won't fit ANY song into only 1 Megabyte. Most MP3s are around 3.5 Megabytes.

Just looking at my music collection, most songs that are about three minutes with a good play rate are between 3 and 5 MB.

It would have to have a pretty crappy play rate (recording quality) or be really short to be only 1 MB.

Are you sure you do not mean a one gigabyte MP3 player?
One megabyte is not going to hold even ONE quality song.

A good quality mp3 or WMA song file is about 3 to 4 MB.

probably not even 1, regular song on regular format(128kbps), that is 4mins, usually have 4MB , no 1MB like you stated in ur question. But if you want a low quality song, you may find 1 song on 1 MB
