It probably depends on where you live, but I don't think the judge would do anything if you have a baby together. You could get married & that would help a lot, with more than just this problem. Hope everything works out!!

Much Love!!

As many others have said check your state laws cause age of consent for most is 16 so he actualy might not be able to take ur fiance to court and you still should talk to your dad about how you are feeling and that you love this man

In some states they have recently lowered the consentual age to 16.
Check your state laws to see if in fact he can press charges of statutory rape.
If he can, talk to him... tell him how much he means to you and your daughter. Find out if this has come up so suddenly over something petty. Did your fiance disrespect him or something to that nature?
I find it odd....if you are planning to be married, already have a kid together, why is this suddenly a problem after all this time?
Last resort: Get a lawyer.

The first thing to do is check the age of consent laws in your state as well as the statute of limitations for statuatory rape. With him being over 18 though, you might have a hard time. Your dad might be mad about what happened (and I can't say as I blame him) but it sounds like he might need to forgive and forget if this guy's your fiancee and not your run-away baby's daddy!

Well I think if your fiance is taking care of you and the baby then your father needs to look at the biger picture. You should really try to understand why your father would do something like that. don't be one of those baby mamas who chase there baby daddy's more then they have there child

if you are 17 with a three month old child, then suffice it to say that you have been involved with this gentleman for at least a year...which would have made you under the age of legal consent.

your father has a case, but i would advise you to check to see what the local laws as respect your state says.

I don't see how he could be upset if you are going to marry the baby's father. I had a baby a week before my 17th birthday, and my father was supportive. I know I was worried about the statutory rape deal too, but my father was just happy to have his grandson.

what state do you live in? cuz in a lot of states age of consent isn't 18 but 16, and in some states parents are no longer aloud to do that unless you are under 15.

He can do this, even if you marry your boyfriend. I think you should talk to your father, let him know you love this man and it is better for your baby if he is in her life. Maybe he will have a change of heart.

every state has different statutory rape laws. check yours out and then get the help of a lawyer just in case your dad goes through with it.
