so he's really cute and funny but i don't know if he likes me as just a friend or something more? He talks to me all the time, and always makes me laugh. He never hurts my feelings, or talks about me, and he always chooses me over popular girls for project parterners!!!!

sounds like he really likes you but not sure how you really feel, mabbe you can ask him out or just tell him that you are interested in him more than a friend, and what he thinks about a relationship.

Tell him your true feelings. If you really like him and feels that he likes you then you must be feeling pretty confident that it will work out. If you feel he doesn't really take you seriously, asking him too soon could break your friendship. My advice is, show him that you know what he likes, and then ignore him for two days. Once he sees this, he will become very surprised and probably a bit jealous (If he like you that is). When the two days are over, say our friendship has gone on too long and it has to become something better, a relationship. He will be amused but will take it seriously. Then you can start dating him etc.

No matter how confident a guy acts almost all of them are unsure when to make any moves, so the best thing I could say is be everything but blunt. You'll almost have to lay yourself on the line to see how he feels but it sounds like you've already got his attention so you should be safe to land. you can interpret this in two ways. him choosing you be his partner, making you laugh, talking to you, all those kind of things can be hints coming from him that he likes you. however if you two have been friends for a while then maybe he only sees you as a friend. doesnt sound like it though. suggest that you two hang out alone (outside of school?) im sure he wont say no.
